Packed Colors

"Packed Colors" aims at raising public awareness on the environmental pollution, through a series of artistic works that depict simple geometric shapes (spheres, cones, and rings). These shapes refer to children’s games, a symbol of innocence and creativity, but also of responsibility towards the future. The message I want to convey is a criticism against the society of consumption and waste, which sacrifices the beauty and harmony of nature for profit and convenience. My project invites you to reflect on our role and impact on the world around us and to look for more sustainable and ecological solutions for our lifestyle.

MAXPXwer

Explore this animation project of mine for a supplements company, where I employed various techniques to create an engaging visual experience. Through the use of rigid body simulations, I brought to life the movement of the jar rising from the ground, paying special attention to the fluidity and believability of the motion. Smoke simulation added a magical element to the surrounding environment, while the node-based material system allowed for the creation of detailed textures and materials for every part of the scene. The primary purpose of this video was to introduce the brand and its products on social media, conveying an engaging and memorable message through the art of animation.

Destroying Furniture

In this captivating 3D video, viewers are transported into a classic domestic setting—a cozy living room. The focal point of the scene is a fabric chair, standing proudly in the center. As the video unfolds in slow motion, a sense of intrigue fills the air. Suddenly, the fabric chair begins to disintegrate, and each piece takes flight, ascending skywards with ethereal grace. Accompanied by a mystical musical composition, the mesmerizing dance of the chair's fragmented remnants creates a visually stunning and emotionally evocative experience. This artistic portrayal explores the transformative power of destruction and the beauty that can emerge from chaos, leaving viewers in awe of the enchanting spectacle unfolding before their eyes.

Origami

This 3D animation project involves creating a cube that opens and closes following precise geometric shapes, with the movements resembling those of origami. The animation is designed to be on a loop, with smooth transitions between each opening and closing sequence.
I created the cube from scratch, ensuring that all its edges and vertices align perfectly with the intended geometric shapes. I also needed to animate the cube's movements, carefully timing each opening and closing sequence to ensure that it flows smoothly and looks natural.
To enhance the viewer's experience, I added to the video ad hoc audio and typographic layout. The audio is synchronized with the cube's movements, adding atmosphere to the overall effect of the animation. The typographic design chosen helps to convey the intended use of the animation, whether it is for advertising, entertainment, or educational purposes.

Skeleton Glass

This animation shows a collection of three stunning 3D images that depict pieces of glass enclosed by a cage-like structure. I spent a lot of time working on the details of each piece, ensuring that they are visually striking and thought-provoking. I wanted to create something that would make people stop and think about their own limitations and how they can break free from them to achieve their goals and dreams. In addition to the 3D images, I also created a poster using typography techniques that complement the overall theme of the collection. I chose fonts and colors that would help convey the message behind the artwork.

Deconstruct

I've created a mesmerizing 3D cube that deconstructs itself, revealing a multitude of unique patterns and shapes.
Generative art allows me to explore the intersection of technology and creativity, pushing the boundaries of what's possible. With this project, I wanted to challenge traditional notions of static art by introducing an element of dynamism and evolution.
With each facet of the cube unraveling, an enchanting symphony of uncharted forms and patterns emerges. This process represents the beauty of randomness and the emergence of unexpected beauty from chaos.

Spacecraft

Using irregular rectangular blocks as my starting point, I've crafted three stunning artworks featuring drifting satellites and spacecraft. Each piece has its own unique shape and design, but they all share a common thread.
The red and white emergency LEDs add a pop of color and depth to the pieces, while the now unused and damaged electric cables create a raw, post-apocalyptic aesthetic that ties everything together. These elements truly make the artwork come to life.

I'm an Italian, colorblind 3D Motion Designer deeply devoted to visual design and graphic arts. Despite being colorblind, I've turned this characteristic from a potential obstacle into a constant source of personal challenge. My colorblindness has served as a catalyst, propelling me to explore the intricate world of colors with fervor every day. After graduating in Industrial Design from the University of Florence, Faculty of Architecture, I specialized in graphic animation. My work pans across product design, motion design, and cover design.

Packed Colors

"Packed Colors" wants to raise public awareness on this topic, through a series of artistic works that depict simple geometric shapes (spheres, cones, and rings). These shapes refer to children’s games, a symbol of innocence and creativity, but also of responsibility towards the future. The message I want to convey is a criticism of the society of consumption and waste, which sacrifices the beauty and harmony of nature for profit and convenience. My project invites you to reflect on our role and impact on the world around us and to look for more sustainable and ecological solutions for our lifestyle.

I started with the assembly of simple geometric shapes. Afer that with these elementary forms and sculpted a fragile spherical surface to emulate the classic texture of plastic packaging. What sets this piece apart is the intricate physical simulation that I used to replicate the industrial process of extracting air from the packaging and sealing it hermetically. Through a meticulous and advanced simulation, I reenacted the industrial procedure of evacuating the air from the package, mimicking the real-world process.

In this video, you have a unique opportunity to closely examine the process of creating this artwork. The video unveils every step involved in the artwork's development, providing an in-depth look behind the scenes of its creation.
Every stage of the creation process, from the initial geometric shapes to the crafting of the thin spherical surface, is depicted incredibly realistically. The simulation accurately captures the look and feel of typical packaging plastic.
The fluidity of the simulation immerses the viewer in the creative process, offering an engaging and authentic experience of the birth of this artwork.

Finally, I had the extraordinary opportunity to showcase my artistic work in Milan, within the exhibition titled "ANTITESI" (ANTITHESIS).I was honored that the exhibition curators selected my piece as a perfect embodiment of the proposed theme.
This experience proved to be extremely gratifying as it allowed my creation, initially conceived in digital format, to come to life through the creation of physical prints.
